This Tea and Talk during the Clinician Cafe: Supportive and Inclusive Services for Trans and Gender Nonconforming Clients will feature guest Chance Krempasky, FNP-BC, WHNP-BC, AAHIVS, Associate Medical Director of Education at Callen-Lorde Community Health Clinic in New York City. This training is available for 1.25 CNE or CPH. An additional 1.25 CNE or CPH is available by participating in other Cafe activities throughout the week.
By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Recall appropriate language and terminology relevant to sexual and reproductive health care provision for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals.
2. Discuss techniques and skills for sensitive and affirming physical examinations.
3. Review what is known about the impact of gender-affirming hormone therapy on fertility.
4. Explain approaches to contraceptive and family-building counseling with TGD people.
