Since 2006, the Clinical Training Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health (CTC-SRH) has developed and delivered high-quality, evidence-based clinical training and shared skill development resources to Title X service providers. For over 17 years, our mission has remained to offer the best clinical training to the nation’s Title X workforce. We do this by offering unique and accessible training such as live and on-demand webinars, e-learning, and onsite and virtual skills training. Many of our trainings are eligible for continuing education credits (CEs).
We host the National Reproductive Health Conference, the nation’s only annual conference for Title X clinicians, which is also open to non-Title X sexual and reproductive health providers. This year’s conference, from September 10th to 13th, will take place in Philadelphia, PA. We look forward to welcoming sexual and reproductive health clinicians from across the nation!
The CTC-SRH is funded by the Office of Population Affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services to deliver training and technical assistance to Title X family planning service grantees and providers. Formerly known as the National Clinical Training Center for Family Planning (NCTCFP), the CTC-SRH has continued to provide training and resources for Title X clinicians and the broader sexual and reproductive health provider workforce to increase quality, equity, and access in the healthcare field for over 17 years.
This DIALS, recorded on 11/1/2023, featured Dr. Angeline Ti and Dr. Lauren Thaxton. It provides an overview of the research that supports extended use for most methods of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) available in the U.S., followed by a discussion about techniques for client-led education and counseling for potential extended use LARC.
In response to the rising rates of congenital syphilis infections, the CTC-SRH speaks with Dr. Kate Miele from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to review conventional testing and treatment protocols for syphilis.
In this DIALS, recorded on April 23rd, 2024, Mikayla Bobrow, Anna Brittain, and Glorimar Irizarry presented the Q4T package from the National Association of Community Health Centers (NAHC). This package was made to identify actionable strategies to fill the gap in adolescent SRH care.
In response to the rising rates of congenital syphilis infections, the CTC-SRH's own Associate Director, Tammy Bennett, will be discussing point-of-care testing and same-day treatment for syphilis infections and how Title X sites can implement these services in their own clinics.
