Learning Lab: STI Basics for Title X Clinical Providers

The goal of this learning lab training activity is to help increase confidence and competency in providing high quality, person-centered STI treatment and management services for clinicians who are new to Title X and their supporting staff. 1.5 CNE available, CME pending.

Presenter: Hilary Reno, MD, PhD

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to discuss management of vaginal discharge in pregnant and non-pregnant people.
  2. Participants will be able to explain management of possibly resistant STIs.
  3. Participants will be able to apply current management recommendations for STIs.
  4. Participants will be able to describe three ways to incorporate the sexual and reproductive health equity (SRHE) framework using the guiding principles into STI treatment and services.

Participants will complete pre-work through the National STD Curriculum before attending the live learning lab. In the live 90-minute learning lab, we will review the pre-work, answer any questions or concerns, and then discuss case studies to apply skills and information in a live setting with peers. After the live training, the session will be recorded and posted on the CTC-SRH website. About Learning Labs.
